What Makes Indigo such a great doe to purchase doeling and buckling kids from?
Indigo was chosen for AppleJo Farms breeding program for her color genetics foremost. Indigo's Dam, Pita, has produced some of the most amazing moon spots I've ever seen. Yes, Indigo also has blue eyes and is polled! I call this the trifecta bonus!
This is Indigo's Dam: Pita

Indigo's Sire is:
PD2206361TROTTING C FARM CHOKLATECLIPSE
About Trotting C Farm located in Lowgap, NC: Trotting C Farm is focused strictly on purebred Nigerian and Nubian dairy goats, specializing in polled genetics and blue eyes and moonspots.
Indigo is a true chocolate which is hard to find, although, Chocolate is a very common modifier in Nigerian Dwarf Goats. It is located at the Brown Locus and works by modifying patterns at the Agouti Locus. Normally black areas of the coat (and sometimes dark tan) are changed to a chocolate color. The skin is also changed from black to chocolate, which can be most noticeable on the muzzle, around the eyes and ears, under the tail, and on the udder. Chocolate is dominant and works independently of any other genes or modifiers. To have any chance at chocolate, at least one parent must have it to pass on.
Combine Indigo's moonspot genetics, blue eyes and being polled with Flat Rocks Silver buck who has excellent milk/cheese genetics and you have the potential makings of an AppleJo Farms' excellence doeling and/or buckling!
