Rosasharn Citrines Millie May

Rosasharn Citrine's Doeling

I have owned one other goat from the Rosasharn line and had very good success with her in every way. If I were to say which goat was an all time favorite, it would be Rosasharn Penelope as she gave great milk and kids and was absolutely the sweetest goat I've ever owned. Penelope is living her last best days in retirement now. Millie May's Dam is very similar to Penelope, both from the Rosasharn line.

Outstanding Qualities I See in Millie May thusfar: She has the wide Escutcheon area between the back legs, where the udder lies in a doe. This area should be wide in a dairy goat to carry a large udder well. She also has very nice size & positioning of teats. This matters on the milk stand and as a great quality to pass on to her offspring.

    Millie May's Sire:

This doeling has so much milk behind her! Citrine's  Millie May doeling is such a great choice if you want to add milk to your herd and own a doe which is a direct first generation descendant to a registered Rosasharn Dam. Millie May's Sire and Dam both come from some of the most elite milk herds in the US.

    Millie May's Sire is:
    PD2292177
    TINY HILL SCOTS TAVISH *B
    Tavish is a *B buck
    Tavish is a *B buck
Tavish is a *B buck and his sire is also a *B buck. *B  – Star Buck is awarded from parent production information. The *B is a milk 'production star'. Milk Production Awards for bucks such as Tavish, are earned as an award based on the production of milk of his parents. Milk production requirements are earned  and awarded based on volume, butterfat and protein produced.  His Dam is Sansa, who has been in the top 10 national ADGA Nigerian Milk Performance testing multiple years.
Here's Sansa's informationhttp://tinyhillfarm.com/?page_id=64 Breeder, Larissa Mullen states: "In 2022 we had ten does on the ADGA elite list. We’ve got dairy stars for days, and all our bucks are *B with daughters, sisters, or both daughters and full sisters on milk test. We’ve got two ADGA Young Sire Development Program Qualifiers, and in 2020 we had two ADGA Top Ten does. We are thrilled and completely shocked to announce how many Tiny Hill Farm goats made the August 2023 Elite list. FIFTEEN!" This is the next update: Tiny Hill Farm Nigerians have extremely competitive milking genetics, including two Top Ten does in 2020, 15 Elite goats in August 2023, 14 Elite goats in December 2023, and four ADGA Young Sire Development Program Qualifiers in 2020.

Rosasharn is one of the U.S. first Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goat Herds.  Rosasharn herd is located in Rehoboth, MA and was started in 1986 by Anne Petersen. Rosasharn Farm's original and primary focus is their nationally recognized herd of Authentic Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats. All of their goats trace their ancestry directly back to the original foundation Nigerians in the AGS herd book. By now most Nigerians trace some of their ancestry back to Rosasharn!

Rosasharn herd has achieved top awards in the show ring, including many National Champion titles, and recognition for top milk production, proven by their long history of participation in DHIR, Dairy Herd Improvement Registry, and a historic presence on the ADGA and AGS Top Ten milk production listings. They also participate in, and achieve high scores in ADGA's Linear Appraisal program. For many years Rosasharn does were milked twice a day for standard lactations of 305 days or longer.
